Dagmara Bielecka

Glass artist and academic lecturer. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (Poland), Faculty of Ceramics and Glass, currently heading Studio of Spatial Activities and Experimental Techniques at the Glass Department. Winner of New Glass Review 38 (2016) from Corning Museum of Glass, and Bronze Award Winner at Bullseye Emerge 2018 (USA). Her objects are part of private and institutional collections, including the Museum of Applied Arts in Poznań (Poland), as well as glass museums in Germany – Glasmuseum Lette in Coesfeld and Achilles Stiftung in Hamburg. In her art, Bielecka employs metaphor, drawing on recognizable forms and motifs embedded in and linked to specific collections of images or symbols, used to create associations and meanings. She creates small, intricate three-dimensional objects in colored glass, experimenting with and combining various glassmaking techniques.
