Artist and craftsman. Trained as a carpenter, Gąsienica-Giewont creates unique functional objects using the art of woodturning. His style blends traditional woodworking techniques, minimalist aesthetics, and harmony with nature. He works exclusively with green wood, embracing its natural “imperfections” — knots, cracks, discolorations, and traces left by insects. In his practice, the material itself and natural processes play a central role, where the final form of each piece is shaped by the unpredictable power of nature.
