After a successful inauguration in November 2024, Craftica – a space for new Polish arts and crafts – debuts at the prestigious NOMAD Circle fair in St. Moritz in February 2025 with the ‘Tradition Recrafted’ collection.

Tradition Recrafted is a collection of artistic objects made using traditional craftsmanship methods, transformed through the vision of contemporary artists.
Each piece redefines heritage, whether by using materials like dyed straw or reinterpreting classic forms.
This collection blends age-old techniques with modern creativity, celebrating the beauty and adaptability of traditional crafts while connecting the past with the present.
Alicja Patanowska specializes in artistic ceramics, exploring the boundaries between design and applied art. Her latest works are clearly inspired by nature – the organic forms and subtle play of light are reminiscent of falling water droplets, bringing a dynamic yet harmonious element to the interior.
Zofia Sobolewska-Ursic, winner of the ‘Kunszt’ competition, presents a cabinet made using the technique of straw marquetry, which is a rare and demanding decorative technique with roots in traditional European craftsmanship. Its precise workmanship and refined aesthetics emphasize the unique character of the design.
Anna Bera creates wall objects that are a cross between sculpture and design. Her collection of sculptural mirrors redefines their classic function, making them a decorative element of the space at the same time.
Marek Bimer, a renowned Polish sculptor, combines classical sculptural forms with lighting elements. His series ‘Lumieres-Sculptures’ is a collection of light objects in which structure and light co-create space. These works are recognised in both artistic and collector contexts.
Maciej Gąsienica-Giewont presents a wooden vase that merges traditional craftsmanship with a conceptual approach to form. The object is characterized by a massive construction and a concentric arrangement of carvings, and its final shape is created by the natural drying process of the wood, which gives it a unique character.
Alicja Prussakowska and Jakub Kijowski – the Formsophy collective – work in the aesthetic of ‘romantic brutalism’. Their sculptural tables are an experiment with raw materials – precisely selected stones and minerals are arranged in compositions that create terrazzo with a unique pattern. Each piece is a unique study of material and form.
Cyryl Zakrzewski is a sculptor specializing in wood. His console, presented at the Nomad exhibition, is inspired by organic shapes and resembles hanging creepers. The design combines precision of workmanship with the natural expression of the material.
Bogumiła Dańko, Patrice Nourissat present an armchair that combines modern design with craftsmanship. The fabric used, decorated with applications inspired by Chanel camellias, was designed by renowned decorator Patrice Nourissat. The project successfully combines material experimentation with a classic approach to form.
Anna Milczanowska is a ceramic artist whose work is based on traditional techniques, close contact with nature and the zerowaste idea. Her handmade vase is not only a functional object, but also a sculptural form, which is the result of harmony between human work and the elements of earth and fire.
Michał Zaborowski will present a nature-inspired triptych created using collage techniques. In his work, the artist combines various paper textures - from delicate Japanese sheets to raw recycled materials - creating a multi-layered composition with subtle depth.
Nomad Circle Art Fair Conceived in 2017 by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, NOMAD has successfully completed multiple editions in Capri, St. Moritz, Monaco, Venice, and Cannes (virtual). Created as a concept that is set up to travel the world, NOMAD frequently announces a new destination. By doing this, NOMAD responds to a steadily growing interest in collectible design and contemporary art among collectors and cultural institutions. Each edition hosts leading international galleries, standout exhibitions, and ad hoc special projects in extraordinary architectural locations.
The author of the exhibition space design is Monika Goszcz from Goszcz Design Studio.
